Responsibilities • Engineering design for large-scale tissue converting and material handling capital projects throughout the Georgia-Pacific system in North America. This includes: • Supporting project scope, estimate, and investment proposal development. • Converting and material handling equipment specification, bid preparation, evaluation, and selection. • Production line layout detailed design. Supporting project budgeting, spending forecasts, and project scheduling. • Providing project field support including construction supervision and equipment commissioning. Reporting and communicating on project status. Interacting with GP Manufacturing, • Procurement, Operations Support, and Business teams. Leading and managing small and medium-scale tissue converting and material handling capital projects, and providing oversight of external engineering resources in support of capital projects. This job requires approximately 30% travel. Basic Qualifications • BS Engineering degree required, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred Must have a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience. • Tissue converting, consumer products / packaging, or food / beverage industries experience preferred. • Knowledge ? Skills Must possess experience with conveying and material handling equipment and suppliers. • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and presentation skills. Must possess the ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously with a sense of urgency. Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office and MS Project software. Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a team environment. • Experience with tissue converting equipment and suppliers is desired. • Experience with web handling equipment is desired. • Georgia-Pacific is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
