HNTB is seeking a LiDAR Technologist to provide ongoing support of the use of LiDAR data on the company’s most important projects. The LiDAR Technologist will be responsible for ensuring successful implementation of LiDAR on key projects. Incubation of potential technologies and development of best practices and training materials to are essential to this role.

Responsibilities:

•   Support the ongoing, corporate-wide efforts to implement LiDAR technologies
•   Ongoing development of best practices related to LiDAR data usage and management
•   Develop and maintain performance specifications for LiDAR data acquisition
•   Maintain working relationships with Data Acquisition Providers (DAPs)
•   Investigate and implement software and hardware solutions for maximizing LiDAR potential
•   Maintain working relationships with key LiDAR hardware and software vendors
•   Assist project teams with proposal pursuit efforts
•   Assist in the preparation of both internal and external communications
•   Prepare and deliver internal training materials for LiDAR workflows
•   Attend industry specific conferences and seminars

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study, Master’s degree a plus. 10+ years of progressive technology management experience. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization.
