We are seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer on the Project Manager level, experienced in the design of Healthcare Facilities working out of our Charlotte office. Candidates must be confident in their experience and have the ability to work in an empowered environment. Direct communication with clients will require that candidates communicate and present themselves appropriately. This position is responsible for the overall administration and management of projects, and for maintaining the project profitability and schedule, ensuring that all quality assurance procedures are followed. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required along with a minimum of ten years post registration experience. Candidates should have the ability to perform healthcare facility assessments and master planning. As previously mentioned, experience with healthcare projects is required, and only those candidates will be considered. Mechanical candidates must have extensive knowledge in the design of hospital systems as related to HVAC systems that includes heating and cooling load calculations, equipment selections/layout, and ductwork and pipe design/layout. Proficiency in Cad is required. Electrical candidates must have extensive knowledge in the design of hospital systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency power, medium voltage distribution, fire alarm and nurse call is essential. A working knowledge of NEC and NFPA life safety codes is also required, and candidates must also be CAD proficient.
