Description
Civil Engineer: Construction Materials Testing
We are currently seeking an Engineer for our Construction Materials Testing Division. This individual will show professionalism, integrity, dedication, and technical abilities on a daily basis. If you have a proven track record with Construction Materials Testing, we want to hear from you.
The qualifying candidate will be responsible for directing and executing CMT project assignments including, CMT engineering analysis and report preparation, field exploration and laboratory services. Will also provide staff review of proposals and reports, and ensure that commitments to clients are met. Ability to communicate on all levels effectively is vital for this position. While this position is not solely responsible for sales, each staff member is required to be involved with business development activities to some degree. Activities include networking, obtaining leads, general introductions of company services, etc..
CMT duties include:
Shallow and deep foundation installation observation
Concrete testing
Reinforcing steel evaluation
Post-tensioning tendon placement and stressing observation
Floor Profiling Surveys (Flatness/Levelness)
Masonry testing
Grout testing
Block and brick testing
Report writing

Job Requirements
• BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
• 5 solid years, min, of CMT experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Registered/licensed engineer P.E. is a huge bonus.
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of CMT engineering and related disciplines with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet the client’s needs.
Certifications desired are ACI, NETTCP, NICET, and NCMA.
Please note: We are not a construction company, nor are we seeking construction building backgrounds. We are specifically seeking backgrounds related to Materials Testing, most commonly related to construction environment.
