Modularization Material Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities:
      

This Material Coordinator position is assigned to the Darrow Blue Energy Project modularization team. Under direct or general supervision of the Module Material Manager, the Material Coordinator is responsible for accurate and timely input of information into the material control system and provides training to personnel.   

Job Description


The Material Coordinator is encouraged to support construction planning by working closely with Superintendents and Field Engineers to coordinate the flow of materials and equipment from Material Management storage locations to installation area, report material status for required Work Packages (WP). Duties are subject to but not limited to the following:      

Integrate all Material Management functions into one seamless system that support reliable information about the status of project materials throughout the project life cycle.      

Connect with Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, Logistics, Warehousing, and Construction regarding material related processes and procedures associated with products, engineering equipment, and bulk materials in support of project operation.      

Assist in development and implementation of Material Management strategy and tools/software based on established goals, processes, and standards.      

Coordinate project support activities related to data flow and naming conventions with all disciplines involved.      

MRRs, shipment arrivals, MTO comparisons & potential allocation details.      

Run reports to supply current material status to construction and project management.      

Maintain files as established by Module Material Manager      

Distribute Material Receiving Reports in a timely and accurate manner.      

Ensure all files are complete (MRRs, OS&Ds) and advise purchasing for close out.      

Assist in inventory audits as to ensure accuracy of inventories.      

Review, analyze and report cycle-counts, continuous updates of material locations in SMAT.      

Assist with routing of FPRs for signatures, when required.      

Assist in the disposal of surplus material with the project management in accordance with the contract.      

MRR, OS&D, Pick Tickets & Material Issuance creation all in SMAT in accordance with the Fabricator’s signed documents.      

Maintains close communication and coordination with Fabricator’s material management personnel to ensure data integrity and updates are in sync.      

Handle project material data transfer activities and system interfaces related to engineering, project control, and procurement requirements in addition to supporting data and document delivery for project Planning and Construction.      

Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve Material Management application problems.      

Lead implementation of all AP approved software for Material Management team.      

Participate in development and improvement of material management activities to ensure project progresses on schedule, within the scope for Material Planning and Control.      

Oversee the accurate, timely, and cost-effective identification and records of project material in the Material Management system, including the material warehousing, receiving, and issuing activities of material and equipment required to support the EPC efforts.      

Setup projects and support in leading the site module in SmartPlant Material computer software according to project construction schedule, priorities, deliverables, breakthroughs, destinations, and work packages for different EPC projects.      

Set up material reservation and forecasting process according to the construction priorities and customize planning reports to serve the project needs.      

Provide technical support to Material Management professionals to establish “what if” scenario in case of the changes in construction priorities based on material availability.      

Able to run multiple responsibilities with set expectations and meet deadlines.      

Participate in the development and implementation of integrated systematic solutions to drive continued innovation, efficiency, and safety.      

Adhere to and support AP Health, Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability Polices.      

Maintain the highest ethical standards of professional responsibility.      

Support corporate initiatives promoting safety, diversity, ethical behavior, increased employee engagement and career development.      


Required Skills / Abilities:
      

Direct experience in Project information management implementation in complex environment of major capital projects globally.      

Experience in creating corporate procedures regarding mega EPC material management process.      

Ability to lead multiple high priority projects and challenging priorities, adjust to varying demands of work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.      

Superior written and oral communication skills, project management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and financial foresight.      

High proficiency or strong ability to learn Air Products software including SAP, SPMAT, OpenText, etc.      


Education and Licensing Requirements:
      

Bachelor’s degree
or minimum 10 (ten) years related experience in EPC Project Material Management locally and internationally.         #INDGEM   #LI-JM2
