Senior Engineer/Architect

Job Description

The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Senior Engineer/Architect position. This position provides professional leadership and consultive expert assistance to professional and technical support staff in the areas of building plan review, quality assurance, building inspection, construction material grading, and related building and safety programs. Further, this position performs professional level engineering or architectural review for difficult, complex and/or sensitive plan review and/or inspection. In addition, this position will work directly with the Managing Director of Planning, as well as planning and design consultants to prepare capital infrastructure projects (e.g., terminal design, roadway circulation, multimodal facilities, and campuswide wayfinding) for 15% -30% design.

Skills

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture AND four (4) years of full-time professional level plan checking, design and/or field project management experience. Equivalency may be considered for registered architects.
