Structural Engineer

Job Description

MARTOS Engineering is looking to fill several full time Structural Engineer positions varying form entry level experience to five years of experience, for immediate employment at our Nyack, NY office. We are looking for detail oriented, self-motivated designers looking to expand their knowledge base and experience with a large variety of structural designs. At MARTOS engineering we strive to mentor new engineers with a variety of projects and responsibilities.

Skills

Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and calculations
- Prepare construction plans, details, and structural notes
- Prepare structural reports
- Review shop drawings
- Perform site investigations and inspections
- Coordinate directly with team members, architects, developers and contractors
- Foster relationships with clients and develop new work opportunities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with emphasis on Structures. (Master’s degree preferred)
- Proficiency in Auto CAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Engineering-In-Training Certification required

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of industry standards and structural codes
- Experience in designing with wood, steel, concrete, and reinforced masonry.
- Proficiency with structural analysis programs such as RAM structural systems and STADD
