Our Project Execution team is accountable for driving competitive execution strategies through leading and managing the design, build, commissioning, and successful handover of Air Separation Process Plants to worldwide customers. In achieving this, high safety performance is taken as a given. To support a growing project portfolio, we’d like to hear from suitably qualified Construction Cost Estimators looking to enhance their skills within this high-performing team. This successful candidate will ensure that competitive cost estimates are achieved during the bid phase of a project, and that ongoing forecasting is maintained to allow accurate decisions to be made during execution.

This opportunity is for a position within the Large Air Separation (LASU) Product Management team within the Air Separation Product Line organization. The LASU Product Management team is primarily responsible for driving competitiveness in our product offerings for Air Separation opportunities that require from 600 to over 5000 MT per day of oxygen.

In this role, you will be based at our Allentown offices, but be a member of our global team, and regularly collaborate with colleagues at Air Products' multiple regional Engineering offices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives that improve the competitiveness of our product offerings

  • Take initiative to the development of new procedures and database / benchmarking to improve the present cost estimating processes.

  • Support the development of new products from concept to commercialization.

  • Manage product improvements and changes, and complete technical and economic evaluations to support these improvements.

  • Act as key leader in the sub-region, partnering with the Line Manager, Asset Managers, & Technical Support groups to drive profitability and asset optimization within the Northern California region. Direct and supervise plant production to efficiently meet customer requirements.

  • Interface with Engineering, Operations, Technology, and Procurement to execute Products on Projects, accepting feedback for Product improvement

 
 

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • A passion to drive change and improvements with a strong desire to learn

  • Strong analytical skills and communication skills

  • Experience supporting or leading product development or capital project execution initiatives.

  • Cross-functional or cross-organizational experiences, such as with Operations, Project execution

 
 

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering and 2-3 years of relevant experience
