DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crown’s Closures, Aerosol & Promotional Packaging (CAPP) Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for the largest consumer packaging companies in North America. Our distinguished list of clients including SC Johnson, WD40, Barbasol, Abbott Laboratories and Unilever. We manufacture total packaging solutions including:
Closures: We manufacture a variety of decorative food and metal vacuum sealed closures, metal and composite closures, capping systems for glass and plastic container manufacturers.
Aerosol Packaging: We manufacture cans and ends for manufacturers of personal care, food, household, and industrial products. We offer our customers a broad range of products including multiple sizes, color schemes and shaped packaging.
Promotional and Specialty Packaging: We manufacture a wide array of decorative containers with numerous lid and closure variations.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Students now have a chance to gain real world operations and engineering experience in a manufacturing company by joining Crown for a 12-week summer internship opportunity with our Spartanburg, SC plant. The intern will be key member to work on business-critical projects that support daily operations, safety, quality and productivity improvements of our products and processes. Intern will be provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Although we make no guarantee of full-time employment upon completion of the internship, it is our goal to have our interns fully capable of stepping into a full-time position within our organization
SPECIFIC PROJECTS/DUTIES FOR THIS INTERNSHIP INCLUDE:
The intern will take part in maintenance and increased productivity projects. They will gain training with the site electrician to perform PLC programming. A barcoding system project will also be asigned to design and implement a system to track materials.
