### Must have:

### - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. - 3+ cumulative years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities, including but not limited to data centers, power generation, and oil/gas facilities. - Must have a valid US driver's license and reliable personal transportation by start date. - Direct experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers. - Experience as a resident engineer or hands-on (in the field) design consultant or owner's engineer. - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittal documents, and applicable building codes. - Basic understanding of both mechanical and/or electrical equipment/design related to data centers, including uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, fans, and water treatment. - EPMS/SCADA/BMS Controls system experience (software and/or hardware).

Responsibilities:

As an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer, I will provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through to site improvement and maintenance. I will be the 'go-to' engineering resource for my region when technical advice is needed. My key responsibilities include: - Troubleshooting site and equipment failures, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and creating Corrective Action (CA) documentation. - Directly supporting operational issues through ad-hoc training and complex operating procedure reviews. - Owning the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and solutions that enhance capacity, availability, efficiency, and sustainability. - Interfacing with internal teams, including data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety, to promote standards that ensure consistent and reliable services. - Developing innovative solutions for AWS's data centers. - Managing concurrent projects, sometimes across multiple geographical regions. - Initiating and leading engineering audits, including on-site visits to Amazon's data centers, and producing reports that outline risks with recommended mitigations and remediations. - Acting as the resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.
