### We are looking for candidates who have over 7 years of industry experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator. You should have professional certifications that demonstrate your Network Engineering competencies (e.g., CCNP, CCDP, Aruba professional) and a background in network administration and architecture. Proficiency in network security principles, an in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP), and experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) are essential. You should also have expertise in troubleshooting OSI network layers, planning and deploying WAN, firewalls, LAN, DNS, and VLANs in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Familiarity with Storage Area Networks (SANs), application layer network and firewall configuration in Linux and VMware systems, as well as experience with TACACS, Radius, and authentication services is required. Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) and experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds) is necessary. Proficiency in network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS) and both Linux and Windows operating systems are expected. Additionally, you should have sharp troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, excellent organizational and mentoring skills, and the capacity to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. We prefer candidates who meet the following criteria: - At least 1 year of ongoing professional experience with Dell switches, servers, and SAN. - At least 1 year of ongoing professional experience using VMware vSphere and vCenter. - Security+ certification. - At least 1 year of ongoing professional experience with network-attached storage (NAS) and/or SAN configuration and maintenance. - At least 1 year of ongoing professional experience with Git / GitLab / Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment. - At least 1 year of ongoing professional experience with container platforms, networking, and security. - An active DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Network Engineer at SciTec, you will design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) as part of both product teams and corporate infrastructure teams. Your duties will include configuring and installing software, servers, routers, and other network devices. You will monitor key network indicators and resolve issues escalated by lower service desk tiers. Automating tasks while monitoring their effectiveness is another key aspect of your role. You will be responsible for mentoring team members on technical issues and creating, overseeing, and testing security measures, such as access authentication and disaster recovery. Communication with users to design optimal solutions will be essential, along with designing and implementing solutions to enhance network performance, capacity, and scalability. You will also maintain complete technical documentation, alongside other duties as assigned.
