Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Established multi-disciplined consulting firm is adding a talented Lead Mechanical Engineer for their Bettendorf team!

Responsibilities:

* Design mechanical and/or plumbing systems (calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specification, and coordination)
* Coordinate projects from start to finish
* Design specification/layout for fire protection scope of work
* Perform code reviews
* Review/process shop drawings and submittals
* Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates
* Serve as client liaison and communicate on existing and new project development
* Project management duties
* Mentor/train junior staff

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
* 8+ years of mechanical/plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor
* PE License and/or DES
* Previous project management experience

Salary is commensurate with experience.
