Job Description

HarmonyTech Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure experience to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based solutions. This critical role focuses on building secure, scalable, and efficient Azure environments that align with business goals and industry best practices.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to migrate applications, modernize infrastructure, and implement cloud-native services within Azure.

Position is in Washington D.C. and requires U.S. Citizenship or Green Card.

**Responsibilities:**

* Design, deploy, and manage cloud architectures primarily in Microsoft Azure environments (public, private, and hybrid).
* Lead cloud migration efforts for applications, infrastructure, and data to Azure.
* Implement and maintain security best practices across Azure cloud platforms.
* Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
* Monitor Azure services for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
* Research and recommend emerging Azure services and cloud technologies.

**Required Qualifications:**

* 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar cloud-focused technical role.
* Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and solutions.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
* Solid understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Virtual Networks, and Azure Storage.
* Experience with cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid cloud).

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience with Azure Government Cloud (Azure Gov) is a plus.
* Experience with Azure ExpressRoute is a plus.

**Certifications:**

* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
* Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and Azure DevOps pipelines.
* Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus but not required.

**Education**:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
