### We are looking for a candidate with over 7 years of progressively responsible hands-on experience in network engineering, focusing primarily on enterprise network management with Cisco devices. You should have the skills to install, configure, and support network switches, routers, and wireless access points. Familiarity with network topologies like Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, GbE VLAN, and SONET is essential. Experience in implementing converged networks that include VoIP, VTC, and QoS methods, along with a successful track record in LAN, WAN, and WLAN implementation and management, is expected. Strong understanding of network security principles, capacity planning, and management best practices are necessary. Technical expertise with current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, especially Cisco products, is a must. Additionally, strong troubleshooting skills with network hardware and a solid comprehension of the organization's objectives in relation to networking solutions are critical. Knowledge of networking protocols, IP subnetting, and routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, and BGP are a plus. Experience with Juniper platforms is also a bonus. You should be physically capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs and willing to travel up to 5% of the year, depending on contract requirements. A technical degree at the associate or bachelor's level in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or relevant experience in information technology, will be considered. Certification in Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II as per DoD 8570.01-M is required, including certifications like CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) CE, (ISC)² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), along with one or more Computing Environment/Operating System certifications such as Cisco -- CCNP.

In this role, I would engage in designing, engineering, and implementing various projects. I would develop LAN/WAN network designs to support data center migrations and demonstrate hands-on experience in LAN/WAN setups, including TCP/IP protocols, routing/switching configurations, and firewall technologies. I would troubleshoot complex network issues, manage VoIP component configurations and deployments, and possess a general understanding of systems and enterprise storage technologies. I'd actively participate in implementing established solutions and strategies, document technical problems and resolutions, and join efforts in testing and evaluating emerging technologies to ensure compatibility and functional efficiency. My responsibilities would also include full integration of the JRSS platform and its support systems, optimizing JRSS systems to harmonize with AFINC architecture, and rectifying network problems using various diagnostic tools. I would monitor network systems, activate scripts in response to alarms, and follow established change and incident management procedures while executing scheduled maintenance routines.
