### We are looking for candidates who possess over seven years of progressively complex experience in network engineering, particularly within enterprise network management focusing on Cisco devices. Ideal applicants should have expertise in the installation, configuration, and support of network switches, routers, and wireless access points. A thorough understanding of network topologies, such as Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, GbE VLAN, and SONET, along with experience in implementing converged networks that include VoIP, VTC, and QoS methods, is essential. Proven success in LAN, WAN, and WLAN management, capacity planning, and network security principles is required, along with strong technical knowledge of current network hardware and protocols, including Cisco solutions. Candidates must have excellent troubleshooting skills with network hardware and PC operating systems, especially with Cisco IOS platforms. A solid grasp of the organization's objectives and how to fulfill them through effective solutions is vital. Applicants should also be familiar with networking protocols, IP subnetting, and routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP). Experience with the Juniper platform is advantageous. Physical requirements include the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs and a willingness to travel up to 5% of the year as required. Team management experience with diverse technical personnel responsible for daily operations is also necessary. Education and certification requirements include a technical degree, associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems, Mathematics, or relevant experience in Information Technology, preferably in system or application administration. A DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification is mandatory, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) CE, or equivalent. Additionally, one or more Computing Environment/Operating System (CE/OS) Defense Cyberspace Workforce Certification (DCWF) requirements, such as Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching, are needed. An active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security clearance is also required.

In this role, I will serve as a Router Team Operator for the 26th Network Operations Squadron. I will be responsible for overseeing intrusion detection, prevention, boundary protection, and vulnerability assessment operations to safeguard the Air Force Network (AFNet). My duties will include investigating and resolving malfunctions in network hardware and systems to maintain service continuity and closely monitoring and managing all WAN circuits to ensure optimal performance. I will respond quickly to remote assistance requests from colleagues and service partners, offering expert technical support. Additionally, I will create and maintain detailed network support and documentation for the Helpdesk, manage assigned tasks and projects independently while ensuring timely completion, and provide backup support to team members as necessary. I will undertake any other duties directed by management and troubleshoot network issues across various devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Understanding and executing disaster recovery procedures will also be part of my responsibilities, along with participating in the testing and evaluation of new technologies to validate compatibility and functionality.
