Water Engineer

Job Description

**Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:**

* Under supervision, plan and design portions of projects of varying complexity, following design, construction, and government standards using various design software and tools.
* Complete design calculations, review and analyze field data, and assist in preparing construction cost estimates with guidance by a senior engineer.
* Perform engineering tasks in support of the creation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, and pump stations to meet client project requirements.
* Prepare reports or analysis such as design calculations, field data results/conclusions and/or cost estimates.
* Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, geologic data and other data to plan projects.
* Provide supporting narrative sections to engineering reports relative to tasks completed.
* Gather and record information to be used to edit or update company specifications.
* Support field assignments as required.
* Review vendor drawings to assure compliance with specifications.
* Prepare routine technical reports.
* Visit job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.
* Contribute to the successful implementation of projects in construction through document review and development of comments and direction for contractors.
