Job Description

Celara is a fast-growing technology company delivering high-impact AI solutions across industries. We are looking for a **Senior AI Engineer** to join our core engineering team and help architect, build, and deploy production-ready AI applications for a range of clients. This is a pragmatic engineering role --- ideal for someone who enjoys turning interesting, open-ended challenges into real-world systems, and exploring new AI technologies along the way.

**What You'll Do**

* Design and implement end-to-end AI/ML solutions across diverse customer projects
* Write clean, modular Python code to prototype and productionize models and pipelines
* Collaborate directly with clients to define technical requirements and iterate quickly
* Deploy and maintain AI systems using Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
* Lead architecture discussions and guide best practices within a small, agile team

**Must-Have Skills**

* Strong AI developer including prompting, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, vector DBs
* Strong software engineering skills in Python
* Strong AI fundamentals, whether through academic study or applied data science work
* Experience building modular, scalable, testable systems
* Deploying and maintaining systems on AWS or GCP using Docker
* Able to design solutions, refine requirements, give strong estimates, and build to a plan
* Comfortable owning the delivery of full solutions, end to end
* Naturally curious, tech-forward, and eager and willing to explore new tools
* Strong communicator; comfortable working directly with clients

**Nice-to-Haves**

* Strength with Core ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.)
* Exposure to a variety of ML use cases - computer vision, AI assistance, forecasting
* Experience with MLOps and CI/CD pipelines
* Comfortable to dive into frontend (JS) or dev tooling as needed
* Comfortable with rapid prototyping and "vibe coding"
* Prior consulting or client-facing engineering experience
