Civil Engineer

Job Description

Michigan engineering firm specializing in athletic and recreational facilities projects is hiring a Civil Engineer for their office in the Detroit area!

Responsibilities:

* Ability to grow in organization with project management/design responsibilities  
* Work on projects from planning/design through completion
* Prepare project plan documents/reports
* As part of the design team, plan, schedule and coordinate technical aspect of projects
* Communicate/resolve technical issues
* Present/explain designs
* Review/respond to construction RFIs and submittals

Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture
* 3+ years of experience
* Project Management experience preferred
* Sports/recreation design experience (including Athletic Fields) preferred
* Strong knowledge of site grading concepts
* Knowledge/interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards and all areas of design/design methods
* Experience with schematic design, design development and construction documents
* Proficient in relevant drafting/design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat

Salary is commensurate with experience.
