Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled GitHub Platform Engineer with strong expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Enterprise administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing GitHub environments, implementing secure development practices, and automating workflows to support scalable and efficient software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) environments
Implement and maintain Git-based version control strategies
Configure and manage RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection policies
Design and develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and YAML workflows
Integrate CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Implement DevSecOps practices within development and deployment pipelines
Utilize GitHub Advanced Security features (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)
Perform audit logging, compliance reporting, and access reviews
Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Collaborate with development teams to improve workflows and platform efficiency
Document governance standards, best practices, and developer guidelines
Lead technical enablement sessions and provide support to engineering teams

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Git-based version control administration
Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server)
Expertise in RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies
Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation
Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with AWS or other cloud platforms
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with audit logging, compliance, and security practices
Proven experience implementing DevSecOps principles

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep)
Knowledge of policy-as-code frameworks
Experience documenting governance standards and technical guidelines
Experience leading training or technical enablement sessions
