About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years of experience supporting the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial building projects. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside senior engineers on technically challenging projects while gaining hands-on exposure to system design, coordination, and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial buildings from concept through construction documents
Perform heating and cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts
Develop mechanical drawings and Revit models, including plans, sections, details, and schedules
Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
Assist with equipment selection, specifications, and technical documentation
Apply applicable mechanical codes and standards (IMC, ASHRAE, local codes)
Participate in design reviews, quality control processes, and project coordination meetings
Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3+ years of experience designing HVAC systems for commercial building projects
Proficiency in Revit for mechanical system modeling and documentation
Working knowledge of HVAC systems including air distribution, chilled water, heating, and ventilation systems
Familiarity with mechanical codes, energy standards, and engineering best practices
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Experience
Experience with AutoCAD, load calculation software, and energy modeling tools
Exposure to construction administration and field coordination
Progress toward PE licensure (EIT or PE track preferred but not required)
