ENGEL embodies a spirit of innovation built on decades of experience With a dynamic workplace ENGEL is the injection molding industry leader in technological advancements ensuring sustainable global growth The ENGEL company history is a success story that we keep on writing everyday together with our employees Do you have what it takes to spur game changing innovation generate creative solutions and add world class value to our customers Then get ready to join the ENGEL team and become part of the next chapter in our history as we continue to grow the business in North America ENGEL Machinery North America has a job opportunity for a remote travelling Process Engineer to help consult with customers ENGEL provides excellent benefits including health dental and vision insurance all upon first day of hire no waiting period and very robust coverage at an affordable price 401k with match over 3 weeks PTO employer paid life insurance long and short term disability and an employee centric environment POSITION INFORMATION ENGEL Machinery North America has a job opportunity for a Plastics Processing EngineerTechnician located in our Technical Center in York Pennsylvania Reporting to the Director Advanced Molding Systems \& Processing this position will provide support for our customers in all packaging related processing topics This position requires an experienced processing engineer that lives and breathes high speed capsclosure and thin wall packaging applications ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Set up Injection molding machines for mold trialstestsrun offs Establish robust repeatable process parametersprocesses Use strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot molds machines auxiliary equipment and processes Trouble shoot process related issues in the lab as well as at customer sites Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements at the customer site Provide start up support at customer site to ensure timely start of production Design and execute DOE to establish new processes and for R\&D work Review processing methods Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products Develop and maintain process documentation Assist in the development of training and provide process training at the customer Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and organized fashion that follows all required safety policies and regulations Other duties as requested directed or assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in community college or technical school training Possession of an RJG Master Molder Certificate or AIM certification a definite plus Bachelors Degree required Experience Minimum of 10 years of hands on injection molding experience This position requires an individual with a thorough understanding of mold setup molding machine operation as well as mold designfunction Hands on experience with mold debug developing a robust process and process trouble shooting is a must Knowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of polymer materials and operating parameters is necessary Willingness to work and follow instructions with a cooperative attitude toward internal and external customers Demonstrated ability to work alone and in a team environment with changing assignments Familiarity with MS Windows and Office environment SAP experience preferred OTHER REQUIREMENTS Travel This position also requires travel up to 70 travel as these duties also need to be performed at our customer locations A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally is also required WHY ENGEL The ENGEL group has been thriving for decades This is because as a family run company we rely on long standing relationships and aim to live up to our own exacting standards of expertise and experience in all fields of plastics processing We see ourselves as a driving innovative force that has continually set new standards in a dynamic and diverse industry Our competitive edge has come from generating added value for customers worldwide ENGEL attaches great importance to flexibility innovation and self responsibility of all of its employees and business units This is the only way to consistently supply and guarantee results of the highest global standards ENGEL offers a competitive total compensation package to eligible employees including; health dental LTD and life insurance 401k with match contribution to HSA Dependent and Health FSA vacation pay and holiday pay
