Job Description

A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking an Electrical Control Engineer to join its engineering team at a key production facility in Circleville, Ohio. This position will play a critical role in delivering both new installations and modifications to existing plant processes, supporting operational excellence across the site.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and communicate detailed project plans, translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Define project scope, obtain engineering and construction bids, and manage project approvals
Oversee installation, coordinate system outages, and support commissioning and startup activities
Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring delivery within agreed constraints
Track and report project spend, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions where required
Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of operational and maintenance issues
Lead process control and infrastructure improvements, including power distribution systems
Develop and implement training programs for operations and maintenance teams
Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (including OSHA PSM and relevant quality systems)

Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in controls, DCS, or PLC systems within an industrial environment
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and process instrumentation (or willingness to develop)
Exposure to SCADA, HMI, and historian systems (e.g., GE Proficy iFix) is advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualise and deliver complex systems
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of an organisation
