Senior Engineer - Civil Maintenance

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Coordination, monitoring & execution of rehabilitation, improvement/ CAPEX works towards achieving life expectancy as per the design and as stated in the DGCA CAR / ICAO / Aerodrome design manual. Carry out pavement maintenance works in shifts round the clock for serviceability and availability of Airside-Pavements. Carryout life assessment study as per Pavement management system to establish methodology of the works required. Support in assessment of present system deficiency with respect to various operational requirement and provide necessary field data for improvement schemes. Support for preparation of appropriate tenderable document and to perform maintenance activities of Airside civil infrastructure in round the clock shifts.

OMDA Compliance and Safety Implementation

Participate in assessment of pavement conditions using pavement management systems and support improvement scheme preparation.
Execute all types of pavement construction works while adhering to approved method statements.
Implement safety measures to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
100% compliance with OMDA requirements in pavement works and safety audits
Zero major non-conformities reported during construction audits

Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Monitoring

Support theoretical calculation of ACR and PCR values as per ICAO guidelines using collected site data.
Coordinate geotechnical surveys and ensure completeness of design documentation for construction.
Monitor daily site progress and quality of work, ensuring conformance to specifications.
Conduct site and laboratory testing to validate material and construction quality.
Minimum 95% adherence to approved quality plans and testing schedules
Timely submission of test reports with zero critical deviations

Employee Engagement and Training

Verify availability of manpower and equipment for task execution.
Attend skill enhancement training sessions and support coordination of team training programs.
100% participation in mandatory training sessions
At least one training coordination activity executed per quarter

Innovation and Technology Integration

Implement accepted innovative ideas to reduce construction timelines and enhance asset durability.
Provide data for updating digital platforms and support deployment of advanced technologies and specialized equipment.

Airport Asset Improvement

Provide data for asset condition analysis and support improvement scheme development.
Implement approved work schedules and track task progress against targets.
Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and update daily progress reports.
Prepare work-related documentation using MS Office tools.
100% SLA compliance from vendors
Zero delay in daily progress report submissions

Documentation and Regulatory Compliance

Maintain records of executed works and ensure availability of compliance documents for DGCA and other authorities.
Prepare and submitted quality reports as per statutory requirements.
Support BOQ/DPR preparation by providing accurate site details.
Coordinate site measurements and ensure proper recording.
Participate in internal and external audits and maintain structured document filing systems.
100% document availability during audits
Zero audit non-conformities related to documentation

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

B E Civil Engineering with overall 3+ years in Airfield/Highway
Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years in Airfield/Highway

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Experience of 5-8 years in Airfield pavement construction works preferred
