### - We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science or an AIS-related field, plus 5 years of combined experience in Linux, scripting or software development, and configuration management. - We need strong proficiency in Python, Perl, Korn shell, Bourne/Bash, Ansible, and related shell scripting tools. - We require advanced hands-on experience with Ansible and Linux administration. - We need experience using version control and CI/CD tools such as CVS, SVN, Git, GitLab, and GitLab CI. - We require experience managing and developing DevOps deployment automation processes. - We need the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain the stability and integrity of an existing DevOps environment. - We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - We need a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, use cases, design, coding, documentation, and testing. - We require Security+ certification. - We require active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph at the time of start. - We prefer experience with SELinux configuration and policy administration. - We prefer familiarity with RH Satellite. - We prefer experience with Lustre, NFS, and other file systems. - We prefer exposure to Ethernet networking. - We prefer experience with RDMA technologies, including InfiniBand and Omni-Path. - We prefer knowledge of high-speed fabrics, including subnet management, IPoIB/IPoOPA mechanisms, fabric topology, health monitoring, and MPI integration. - We prefer experience with identity management systems such as LDAP and token-based authentication. - We prefer prior experience supporting new business growth and customer-facing solution shaping.
Responsibilities:

- We will build and mature the DevOps processes that support a high-performance computing, multi-level security platform. - We will develop and maintain deployment automation to improve reliability and efficiency. - We will analyze and troubleshoot existing DevOps tooling and workflows to preserve system integrity. - We will use Linux, scripting, and configuration management tools to support platform operations. - We will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders, communicating clearly across the full development lifecycle. - We will work with revision control systems and CI/CD pipelines to manage code and automation assets. - We will support platform technologies such as file systems, networking, high-speed fabrics, and identity services as needed. - We will travel to Mississippi for an initial 1--2 week assignment, with only minimal travel afterward. - We will perform the role primarily onsite, with limited remote flexibility depending on day-to-day workload.

We are hiring a DevOps Engineer for MLS Linux Systems to help us build and strengthen the DevOps foundation for a high-performance computing multi-level security environment. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Herndon, VA, with an initial 1--2 week trip to Mississippi and only limited travel afterward; remote work may be possible on a small portion of the schedule depending on daily needs. The position requires active TS/SCI with CI polygraph and Security+ certification.
