Are you a skilled mechanical engineer ready to step into a project leadership role? We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our clients growing MEP team in Manhattan.

About the Role
You'll function as a full Project Manager on assigned projects — leading all MEP trades, driving design, and owning project delivery — with a Senior PM providing oversight and joining key meetings. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be the go-to person for clients, architects, and all consultants on your projects.

What You'll Do
Lead mechanical (HVAC) design and produce construction documents to NYC Building Code and ASHRAE standards
Manage and coordinate all MEP trades — Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Alarm, and Sprinkler
Serve as the primary point of contact for ownership, architects, and all project consultants
Attend and lead all coordination meetings across trades and stakeholders
Own the project schedule — ensuring all internal disciplines meet their deadlines
Proactively resolve design conflicts, RFIs, and field coordination issues
Review submittals, shop drawings, and manage design through construction administration

What We're Looking For
5+ years of MEP/mechanical engineering experience in a NYC environment
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.E. license preferred)
Experience managing multi-trade coordination on commercial or institutional projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and BIM coordination tools
Strong communicator — confident with clients, ownership, and senior stakeholders
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
