Senior Lead Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer (Associate Level)
LVI is partnered with a leading, employee-owned (esop) engineering consulting firm that delivers complex environmental, geotechnical, and infrastructure solutions across a broad range of sectors. The firm supports clients through the full lifecycle of projects from site investigation and regulatory strategy to design, remediation, and long-term monitoring on technically challenging and high-impact developments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Engineer (Associate Level) to take on a leadership role within their team.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing position combining technical leadership, project delivery, and business development. You will lead multidisciplinary projects, mentor junior staff, and act as a trusted advisor to clients across complex environmental and ground engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical delivery of environmental and geotechnical projects across investigation, design, remediation, and closeout
Plan and oversee site investigations and data collection programs, including soil, groundwater, and vapour assessments
Evaluate environmental data and develop practical remediation and engineering solutions
Manage project delivery, including budgets, timelines, and client communication
Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and regulatory submissions
Support business development and client relationship growth
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related discipline
9+ years of experience within environmental, geotechnical, or consulting engineering
Proven experience leading environmental investigation and remediation projects
Strong understanding of site investigation techniques, contaminant behaviour, and remediation methodologies
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, lead teams, and interface with clients and regulators
Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, design documents, and regulatory submissions
Familiarity with permitting processes and environmental compliance frameworks
Professional licensure (or working toward) is highly desirable
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
