### Must have:

### - We require a high school diploma or GED equivalent; a related degree is preferred. - We value some hands-on experience in general maintenance, including surface preparation and painting for interior and exterior areas. - Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage. - We require a valid drivers license. - We do not require prior supervisory experience. - We look for basic knowledge, or the ability to learn, in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic systems, carpentry, finish work, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building systems. - We expect basic computer literacy and the ability to use systems for scheduling and temperature adjustments. - We need candidates who can safely lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds, with heavier items handled with assistance. - We expect the ability to work around stairs, ramps, ladders, and to bend, twist, stoop, and reach as needed.

Responsibilities:

- We respond to guest repair requests and work directly with guests to resolve maintenance concerns. - We perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical-room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. - We inspect tools, machinery, and equipment visually and test, troubleshoot, and complete basic repairs as needed. - We handle maintenance tasks such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, replacing bulbs and A/C filters, repairing drywall and wood trim, and performing minor painting and surface preparation. - We repair or replace guestroom and building components, including switches, outlets, lamps, vacuum cleaners, extension cords, internet devices, and cosmetic items. - We identify and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for equipment and buildings, using lockout/tagout procedures before maintenance work. - We maintain maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies when needed. - We complete landscaping-related repairs, including exterior irrigation and sprinkler work. - We program televisions, manage engineering-related housekeeping tasks, and update air handler schedules and temperature settings using computers. - We share daily activity updates and unresolved issues with other shifts using approved communication methods. - We follow company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols, and report hazards, injuries, accidents, and maintenance issues promptly. - We maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets. - We provide courteous, attentive service to guests, including those with disabilities, and support a positive team environment. - We complete other reasonable duties as assigned.

This is a full-time, non-management, temporary engineering and facilities role with a flexible schedule, and availability on holidays and weekends is preferred. The position offers an hourly pay rate of $31.95.
