Environmental Compliance Engineer – Wastewater Focus
Location: Victoria, Texas,

Job Purpos
eThe Environmental Compliance Engineer is responsible for ensuring environmental regulatory compliance at a large industrial manufacturing facility. This role defines, maintains, and audits environmental sampling, analytical, reporting, and recordkeeping programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental permits and regulations
.Responsibilities include ensuring permit applications, permit modifications, and environmental reporting are completed accurately and on schedule. The position works closely with Operations, Laboratory, Maintenance, Safety, and Management personnel, as well as regulatory agencies and internal environmental technical teams

s.Develop, implement, and maintain environmental sampling, analytical, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with environmental permit
s.Provide guidance and training to Operations, Maintenance, and Laboratory personnel regarding environmental compliance program

s.Monitor and interpret environmental regulations and develop implementation strategies for the facilit
y.Advise site leadership on the environmental impacts of production changes, process modifications, and regulatory development
s.Stay current on environmental regulations and industry best practices through participation in professional organizations, committees, seminars, and technical meeting
s.Support capital projects through environmental reviews, permitting activities, and startup assistanc
e.Review and provide input on Operations, Maintenance, and Laboratory procedures to ensure environmental complianc
e.Provide engineering support for environmental control systems and equipmen
t.Coordinate environmental training programs for facility personne
l.Participate in community outreach and educational activities as neede
d.Collaborate with other company locations to share best practices and improve environmental performanc
e.Anticipate compliance risks and develop proactive solution
s.Investigate permit deviations and environmental incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective action
s.Participate in an on-call rotation for Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) suppor
t.Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance review
s.Report incidents and complete required documentation according to company procedure

Education and Experie
