Our client, a leader in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Department supporting manufacturing and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will enable you to thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment.
Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Eugene, OR 97402
Pay Rate: $29/hr.
Job Type: 6-month Contract with potential for hire/extension
Schedule: M-F 40 hours/week
What's the Job?
Actively partner with Manufacturing departments, providing tactical Quality support to the teams
Investigate, analyze, and correct non-conformances (internal, external, and systemic issues)
Lead root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and ensure their effectiveness
Collect, analyze, and present Quality data to support continuous improvement
Create and revise quality documents aligned with regulations and best practices, supporting change control activities
What's Needed?
At least 1+ year experience in a Quality Engineering position, with familiarity in principles within Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE) Body of Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Quality) or demonstrated equivalent work experience
Knowledge of standards such as ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14971 Medical Devices - Risk Management
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret scientific and technical data
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
