HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Quality Engineer, Prototyping to join its team.  

In this role, you'll help ensure that prototype parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes meet high-quality standards throughout the design, fabrication, assembly, and inspection lifecycle. You'll work cross-functionally with design engineering, fabrication, CNC, additive manufacturing, harness, assembly, and metrology teams to support quality processes and drive issue resolution in a fast-paced prototyping environment.  

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in manufacturing quality systems, inspection methodologies, and engineering documentation.  

**As a Quality Engineer, Prototyping, you'll:**

* Review Jira tickets to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and proper process documentation.
* Create balloon drawings and inspection report templates to support inspection and quality validation activities.
* Review inspection documentation and support approval workflows in accordance with established quality processes.
* Support nonconformance investigations and follow established escalation and resolution procedures when issues are identified.
* Maintain quality dashboards and provide recurring progress updates and reporting for inspection and prototyping teams.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and metrology teams to support product quality and process improvements.
* Help ensure manufacturing, inspection, and assembly activities comply with established quality standards and best practices.

#### Requirementskeyboard_arrow_down

* A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline
* 4 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related environments
* Experience with quality management systems and standard quality practices; APQP experience is a plus
* Strong understanding of GD\&T principles and engineering drawings
* Experience supporting inspection, documentation, and nonconformance processes
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
* This role will require safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412 / F2413 requirements

**Bonus Qualifications:**

* Experience within automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environments
* Lean Six Sigma, Shainin, or other process improvement certifications
* Familiarity with CMM programming, IPC 620 standards, and ESD best practices
