Sherwood Surveying \& SUE LLC is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineer SUE Technician located at our Spring Branch Texas location This position is responsible for designating buried utilities using advanced geophysical technologies and applications Accurately interprets subsurface information while in the field as well as processing data findings Adheres to all safety guidelines Duties \& Responsibilities Ensures the safety of all crew members clients and the publicWorking knowledge of utility line locating equipment SUE designatingResearch utility company records and use this information to perform field observationsUnderstanding of project goals scope of work and client expectationsExcavates utilities and follows all applicable guidelines for scope of workSafe operation of company vehicleOperates and maintains Surveying and SUE equipmentInterpret subsurface information in the field and during post processingCommunicates findings and analysisWill require overnight travel out of townExcellent communication skillsMaintains a professional imageOther duties may be assignedSupports both Surveying and SUE departments Requires cross training of both Surveying and SUE dutiesRequired Experience Education and Skills High School Diploma or equivalent is required Associates Degree or higher preferredAbility to work outside in all seasons for extended periods of timeAbility to travel overnight to various parts of TexasThe ability to effectively communicate with all fellow employees both in written and verbal formatValid drivers license with a clean driving record required NO EXCEPTIONSBenefits Salary commensurate with experienceEmployer paid healthdentalvision insuranceEmployer paid STDLTDLife InsuranceCandidate referral bonus401k retirement plan with employer matchPaid HolidaysEarned vacation time
