**Responsibilities**

* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
* Assist in the design and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
* Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
* Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to support the delivery of system-related products and services.
* Determine the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; support the development and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
* Propose system specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to systems engineers and development teams.
* Perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
* Ensure system connectivity of all servers and other applications.
* Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
* Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
* Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
* Provide assistance to other team members where required.
* Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications (required)**

* High School diploma or GED
* 2 years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Architecture and Engineering

* Expert Level Knowledge of Windows Servers (2012 or above) \& Associated Services
* Knowledge of server components and functions
* Expert knowledge of Active Directory
* Strong knowledge of monitoring tools
* Expert knowledge of patching and deployment technologies
* Expert understanding of server and storage interaction
* Expert understanding of storage technologies
* Strong knowledge of backup technologies and best practices
* Working knowledge of cloud technologies
* Good working knowledge and administration of Linux and Unix platforms
* Expert troubleshooting skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Bachelor's degree preferred in Information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field
