### Must have:
### - We require a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 5 years of relevant experience. - We require a minimum of 3 years of experience with thermal testing using laser or quartz lamp heating systems. - We require at least 2 years of technical writing experience in test planning, analysis, or reporting. - We require at least 2 years of experience with environmental test vibration shaker systems or hands-on work with instrumentation such as accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges, and load cells. - We require experience using data acquisition tools and platforms such as Dewetron, DeweSoft, LabVIEW, Agilent/Keysight, Benchlink, or Somat. - We prefer an engineering background in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical disciplines. - We prefer strong communication, leadership, written, verbal, and listening skills. - We prefer experience developing and assessing requirements, resolving test issues, and defining practical solutions. - We prefer experience with solid modeling and analysis software. - We prefer the ability to manage multiple projects at once with strong situational awareness. - We prefer candidates with an active DoD Secret or TS/SSBI clearance. - We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government security clearance before the start date.
Responsibilities:

- We consult with internal program customers to guide testing approaches and confirm that proposed tests satisfy requirements. - We write and review test plans and procedures with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and technical accuracy. - We create schedules and budgets for testing activities. - We oversee and perform environmental testing for new product qualification, production acceptance, flight test clearance, engineering evaluations, and failure investigations. - We apply engineering best practices to ensure testing is accurate, timely, and within budget. - We analyze test data in real time and after testing to confirm requirements have been met. - We communicate progress and status updates to ET leadership and internal program customers. - We design, model, and evaluate vibration and structural test fixtures using CREO Parametric and Ansys Workbench. - We troubleshoot and adjust test equipment and setups when technical problems occur. - We work collaboratively in an integrated product team with fellow test engineers, support engineers, and internal engineering partners.

We are Raytheon, and our Environmental Test organization supports programs across the company by providing testing capability throughout the full product lifecycle, from prototype development to production. Our team works on a wide range of environmental testing activities, including mechanical shock, vibration, salt fog, climatic conditions, structural testing, custom instrumentation, and data acquisition support, with this role focusing on extreme thermal heating testing.
