### Must have:
### - We require a bachelors degree in math, computer science, physics, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline. - We require at least 5 years of professional experience. - We need strong attention to detail along with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. - We expect familiarity with probabilistic algorithms and numerical methods. - We require programming experience in MATLAB, C++, Python, or similar high-level languages. - We look for someone who is highly self-driven and comfortable investigating data to identify root causes and understand system performance. - We need the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a larger team, including effective coordination with other teams and contractors. - We require the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance by the start date and ultimately qualify for Top Secret/SCI access. - We require U.S. citizenship and willingness to undergo a government security clearance investigation. - Preferred: a masters degree or higher in engineering, math, physics, computer science, or a related field. - Preferred: 5+ years of experience with technical leadership responsibilities. - Preferred: experience with AI/ML technologies and MLOps practices. - Preferred: domain knowledge of Navy, Missile Defense Agency, Space Force, or Air Force systems. - Preferred: a current final Secret or Top Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:

- We conduct research and development activities supporting U.S. missile defense systems. - We analyze systems, identify capability gaps, and develop innovative concepts to advance defensive technologies. - We assist with the design, testing, and evaluation of new approaches for sensing, engagement, and fire control. - We implement algorithms and contribute to modeling and simulation components for complex systems. - We develop AI/ML-based concepts and technical solutions to address challenging mission needs. - We apply advanced data fusion, object tracking, and discrimination methods. - We review simulation results and turn them into clear, actionable insights for our sponsor. - We present technical findings to technical personnel, program leadership, and government stakeholders. - We develop prototype capabilities and partner with organizations to transition ideas into fielded systems. - We collaborate with our technical team in Laurel, MD while working at the sponsor site in Huntsville, AL.
