### Must have:
### - Bachelors degree in Electronic Systems Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline - Practical experience with C/C++ for embedded systems, including academic or personal project work - Familiarity with microcontrollers and fundamental electronics - Understanding of serial communication standards such as UART, SPI, and I2C - Comfortable using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers - Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new technical areas - Ability to develop and apply debugging approaches to identify issues and perform root cause analysis - Nice to have: experience with motor control systems, real-time systems, PCB design, hardware troubleshooting, Git, CNC equipment, manufacturing, or robotics - Nice to have: comfort working with tools and hands-on tasks in a shop setting
Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for CNC controllers and associated hardware - Support our customer service team and production staff when needed - Contribute across the full product lifecycle, including research and development, testing, validation, production transfer, and quality assurance - Work with a range of microcontrollers to connect motors, sensors, and peripherals - Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues in lab and production environments - Collaborate with mechanical, software, and other cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with higher-level systems - Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Assist with testing, validation, and ongoing improvement of our embedded systems - Participate in prototyping and bring-up of new hardware designs
