### Must have:

### - We require an active TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory. - We seek 9+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development, paired with a bachelors degree in a related discipline; or 7 years of relevant experience with a masters degree; or a high school diploma/equivalent with 13 years of relevant experience. - We need strong expertise with Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms. - We require solid hands-on knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, as they relate to infrastructure deployment and management. - We look for proficiency with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. - We need experience deploying, scaling, and administering applications, containers, and operating systems. - We require the ability to develop in multiple languages such as Python, Bash, or Go. - We value familiarity with Git, Flux, and related build and release tooling. - We require comfort working in terminal-driven environments. - We need strong Linux administration and troubleshooting capabilities. - We seek excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills, including the ability to diagnose complex technical issues. - We require strong verbal and written communication abilities. - We need an understanding of Agile development practices and standard software delivery toolsets. - We seek demonstrated experience as a technical lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams. - We require the flexibility to help open and close the workspace during regular business hours as needed. - We require the ability to work onsite with our customer in Fort Meade, MD five days per week. - We prefer experience with big data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, and Presto. - We also value prior experience with containers, EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform.

Responsibilities:

- We support the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, with a strong focus on EKS. - We also support the buildout and deployment of non-cloud edge infrastructure, including on-premise and portable systems. - We automate release and deployment workflows to improve service reliability and scalability. - We manage and maintain Kubernetes environments and AWS-based cloud infrastructure. - We partner with development teams to integrate their applications into our infrastructure. - We monitor production environments, investigate issues, and resolve operational problems. - We continuously refine processes and tooling to strengthen availability and performance. - We stay informed on emerging technologies and industry developments to improve our infrastructure approach. - We contribute at a senior level by balancing hands-on technical execution with guidance, mentoring, and team leadership. - We perform additional duties as assigned.
