### Must have:

### - We require an active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. - We require Security+ certification or another DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within the required timeframe if not held at hire. - We need strong knowledge of defense-in-depth concepts, network and security architecture, network topology, device integrity, and core security controls. - We require at least 4 years of experience engineering and troubleshooting networks, including substantial routing and switching expertise. - We value hands-on experience with technologies such as MPLS, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Spanning Tree Protocol, VLANs, LLDP, VoIP, multicast, and emerging network solutions. - We require a solid understanding of IP addressing and subnetting. - We need experience creating and maintaining technical documents, analyses, and reports. - We require experience presenting technical information to senior customer leaders, stakeholders, and internal management. - We need hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco enterprise routing, switching, and firewall/security devices. - We require the ability to travel up to 10%, including OCONUS travel. - We need effective written and verbal communication skills, along with strong problem-solving ability. - We prefer SME-level knowledge of network engineering, operations, integration, test and evaluation, and transition-to-operations concepts. - We prefer Cisco CCNP Route/Switch and/or CCNP Security. - We prefer experience with enterprise WAN principles. - We prefer familiarity with change, configuration, and performance management NetOps concepts. - We prefer an IAT Level III certification such as CISSP or an equivalent credential. - We require a BS with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a masters with 2-6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- We will provide network integration, testing, security engineering, and implementation configuration support. - We will work with network architects to define and improve STIG-compliant baselines, version control, and compliance tracking. - We will test and validate automation opportunities and other best-practice improvements. - We will lead development of SOPs and TTPs. - We will support continuous service improvement efforts. - We will contribute to system performance tuning and enhancement activities. - We will create and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans. - We will assist with tiered incident escalation and support tasks. - We will participate in root cause analysis for problem management. - We will join engineering meetings to align operations and engineering and support readiness for new production deployments. - We will perform advanced maintenance on firewalls, VPNs, IPS, and load balancers. - We will apply our network engineering expertise to large-scale enterprise solutions, operational transition, and test and evaluation work. - We will maintain and troubleshoot routers, switches, security solutions, and WANX technologies.
