### Must have:

### - We require strong troubleshooting expertise across RF, IP, and MPLS environments. - We need deep technical knowledge of networking and network security technologies and protocols. - We expect proficiency with SolarWinds, Infoport, Hawkeye/Ixia, ServiceNow, and SatMonics. - We value familiarity with Windows Domain environments, Active Directory, DNS, Telnet, DHCP, FTP, and SSL. - We require knowledge of TCP/IP, IPSEC, BGP, OSPF, and terrestrial networking concepts. - We look for proficiency with iDirect tools such as iBuilder and iMonitor, along with alarm management understanding. - We require working knowledge of teleport earth station facilities and teleport operations. - We expect a strong understanding of RF engineering principles and antenna technologies, including fixed and auto-point systems. - We need excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. - We value an analytical, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and metrics-driven mindset. - We require the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a goal-oriented team. - We need the ability to perform well under pressure in fast-paced environments. - We prefer technical education in Electronics, Telecommunications, or an IT-related field. - A bachelors degree is preferred, or equivalent experience supporting complex, high-performance networks. - We require at least 4 years of experience in satellite operations, control systems, and/or NOC operations. - Security+ and CCNA or equivalent certifications are preferred, and CCNP is highly desirable. - We prefer exposure to additional network monitoring and ITSM systems. - We expect proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. - Experience with reporting and analysis tools such as Cognos or Crystal Reports is preferred. - We require the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. - We need willingness to work various shifts, including nights. - An active Secret clearance is required, and TS/SCI eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities:

- We maintain stable operation of the NOC monitoring and reporting infrastructure. - We provide dedicated IT support for NOC laptops, desktops, and video display systems. - We serve as the subject matter expert for NOC-supporting applications including ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Infoport, SatMonics, and Hawkeye/Ixia. - We design, build, and maintain custom interfaces within existing platforms to improve visibility into network status and performance. - We enable accurate performance metric and KPI collection to support MTTR, SLA compliance, and trend analysis. - We work closely with IT engineering, RF engineering, IP engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and product development to strengthen reliability and customer satisfaction. - We identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to networks and applications. - We use metrics and trend analysis to reduce MTTR and improve network performance. - We support knowledge management, coaching, IT service management improvements, and customer reporting initiatives. - We assist Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams with troubleshooting, escalation, and service restoration. - We provide backup support to the NOSC Specialist and/or Shift Supervisor during periods of heavy call volume. - We perform network monitoring, device commissioning, service activations, fault detection and resolution, problem escalation, and performance reporting for IP, VoIP, and RF satellite services. - We act as the technical liaison between the NOC and supporting engineering groups. - We help ensure accurate monitoring, clear escalation paths, and effective technical support for internal teams and customers. - We identify knowledge gaps within the NOC team and develop and deliver training to strengthen team capability and performance.
