### Must have:

### - We require a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field with at least 7 years of industry experience, or a Masters degree in one of these disciplines with at least 10 years of industry experience, or a Bachelors degree in one of these disciplines with at least 15 years of industry experience. - We require 3 to 7 years of strong FPGA/SoC design and development experience using Verilog and VHDL. - We require 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Xilinx and/or Altera devices, tools, and ecosystems such as ModelSim, Intel Quartus, and Xilinx Vivado. - We require 3 to 7 years of experience developing real-time embedded applications and systems on microcontrollers, FPGAs, x86, and/or ARM processors. - We require 3 to 7 years of experience with heterogeneous computing architectures and hardware acceleration methods. - We require 3 to 7 years of strong embedded software programming skills in languages such as C, C , C#, Java, Python, or MATLAB. - We require 3 to 7 years of experience with Linux driver and/or kernel development, as well as Linux build systems such as Yocto. - We require the ability to maintain a U.S. security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. - We require candidates to be currently authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. - We require candidates to be willing to work from our office in Niskayuna, New York.

Responsibilities:

- We architect, implement, and validate edge computing solutions for embedded systems. - We help move edge computing, real-time embedded controls, and embedded communication systems from lab demonstrations into field-ready prototypes. - We design, model, simulate, optimize, and deploy mission-critical real-time embedded systems. - We evaluate and choose hardware platforms and engineering tools for demanding industrial and defense use cases. - We partner with U.S. government agencies to develop compelling proposals and lead projects that support critical infrastructure protection. - We collaborate with universities, industrial consortiums, commercial partners, and strategic stakeholders to advance embedded computing technology. - We publish technical research, pursue patent filings, and contribute to open-source initiatives. - We lead multimillion-dollar R\&D programs aligned with our energy businesses and government partners.
