### Must have:

### - We want a network engineer with 7 years of experience, especially in Ethernet troubleshooting within lab or test settings. - We require experience in Aerospace \& Defense, ideally in DoD or comparable environments. - We need deep expertise across Ethernet from the physical layer through transport, including switching, cabling, signal integrity, and protocol analysis. - We are looking for strong hands-on proficiency with network diagnostic tools. - We require experience supporting hardware-software integration and instrumented lab testing. - We want a track record of root cause analysis in complex networked systems. - Familiarity with embedded systems and test frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities:

- We will have the engineer lead root cause analysis of Ethernet and network-layer failures in our test environment. - We need the engineer to diagnose intermittent link drops, packet loss, latency spikes, and throughput degradation that affect test execution and pass/fail consistency. - We expect analysis of network captures, switch logs, and telemetry to identify the underlying causes of failure. - The role will involve evaluating physical-layer issues such as cabling, connectors, EMI, and signal integrity, especially during thermal and environmental testing. - We need support in assessing network architecture, switch settings, VLANs, and protocol behavior, including TCP/UDP, multicast, and time synchronization. - The engineer will help separate network-related issues from hardware, embedded software, and test-framework problems. - We will work closely with engineering to validate fixes and strengthen test network reliability.

We are seeking a hands-on network engineer for a remote engagement with our Aerospace \& Defense engineering and lab teams. The initial analysis is expected to run for about two weeks, with the possibility of extending into a longer-term remediation effort. The work focuses on diagnosing and resolving Ethernet-related issues across a hardware-integrated platform, including intermittent disconnects, packet loss, latency, and network instability under test and thermal conditions. The position is listed as in person, and the pay range is $65.00 to $75.00 per hour.
