### - We require a bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on infrastructure administration experience. - We look for at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, or enterprise IT support. - We expect 2--3 years of experience leading or contributing to mid- to large-scale infrastructure projects. - We need strong expertise administering Windows Server and Linux platforms such as Red Hat or Ubuntu. - We value experience with virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, Hyper-V, or similar platforms. - We require experience supporting enterprise storage environments such as Dell EMC, SAN, NAS, and fiber channel infrastructure. - We expect familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity and access management concepts. - We prefer experience with cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments. - We look for knowledge of monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. - We require strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, Python, or similar tools. - We need knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, VLANs, and network interface configuration. - We value experience applying security remediation and infrastructure hardening best practices. - We expect strong documentation, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills. - We prefer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Visio. - We prefer relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional, Nutanix Certified Professional, RHCSA, or equivalent Linux and cloud/infrastructure credentials.

Responsibilities:

- We administer, maintain, monitor, and support enterprise Windows and Linux server environments. - We manage virtualization platforms and related infrastructure technologies. - We support enterprise storage systems and associated connectivity environments. - We design, implement, and sustain highly available virtual infrastructure solutions. - We track system health, performance, and capacity across servers, storage, and virtualization platforms. - We ensure infrastructure aligns with security standards and remediation requirements. - We develop automation and operational improvements using scripting tools. - We plan, test, document, and maintain disaster recovery readiness. - We install, configure, upgrade, and patch operating systems, hypervisors, and enterprise applications. - We support cloud and hybrid-cloud initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments. - We manage backup and recovery solutions to protect data. - We lead infrastructure projects from planning and design through implementation and support. - We create project plans, schedules, risk assessments, contingency plans, and status updates. - We collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders on infrastructure strategies. - We produce and maintain documentation, diagrams, standards, and operating procedures. - We maintain server inventories, lifecycle records, and asset tracking. - We evaluate new technologies and recommend modernization and optimization opportunities. - We mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction to support staff. - We ensure proper change management practices are followed for infrastructure updates. - We provide after-hours support for incidents and scheduled maintenance. - We carry out additional duties and special projects as assigned.

This is an onsite Senior Systems Engineer role based in Beachwood, Ohio, with a Monday through Friday schedule and four days per week in the office.
