### Must have:

### - Strong frontend engineering expertise with React and TypeScript - High expectations for UI refinement, interaction design, and visual consistency - Comfort working with asynchronous systems, streaming data, and unpredictable states - Ability to reason about latency, failures, and partial outcomes at a system level - Capacity to follow direction accurately and execute with precision - A practical mindset that favors fixing issues rather than working around them - Experience with complex, user-facing products where UX quality is critical - Experience with AI-enabled products or systems involving streaming or long-running workflows is a plus - Experience building for constrained or embedded environments such as plugins, extensions, or add-ins is a plus - Familiarity with Microsoft Word add-ins or similar tools is a plus

Responsibilities:

- Build polished UI across our Word add-in and web app using React and TypeScript - Improve interaction quality for AI-driven workflows, including loading states, streaming output, retries, and error handling - Reduce friction by resolving layout issues, state mismatches, spacing problems, and other UI rough edges - Apply and expand existing design patterns and component systems consistently - Collaborate closely with Product Design Engineers and Frontend Engineers to preserve design intent in implementation - Make AI behavior feel clear, predictable, and trustworthy at the UI layer - Move quickly on UI fixes and enhancements without relying on heavy product or design processes

The base salary range is $120,000 to $160,000, and the position is eligible for paid time off and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, parental leave, disability coverage, competitive pay, leadership exposure, and company swag.
