### - We require at least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure operations, DevOps, SRE, or a related technical discipline with hands-on support of AWS production platforms and resiliency efforts. - We need strong expertise in disaster recovery operations, including resiliency planning, failover validation, restoration testing, dependency mapping, and ongoing process improvement. - We expect experience with AWS infrastructure services such as networking, storage, compute, backup, replication, monitoring, and identity management. - We require advanced proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting or workflow orchestration with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages. - We value the ability to create scalable, repeatable operational processes and convert resiliency strategies into measurable business continuity and risk-reduction results. - We seek experience supporting cloud governance, utilization analysis, tagging strategies, reporting, and cost optimization initiatives aligned with FinOps practices. - We prefer familiarity with monitoring, observability, and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, or similar platforms. - We expect working knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, Git-based source control, and CI/CD tools. - We require experience operating in highly regulated environments where compliance, audit readiness, and operational controls are essential. - We prefer familiarity with governance and resilience frameworks such as NIST, ISO, ITIL, or comparable standards. - We consider exposure to container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes a plus. - We need strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, and business groups during high-pressure recovery or incident scenarios. - We prefer a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities:

- We design, implement, and support AWS-based resilience and recovery solutions across enterprise applications and services, including Elastic Disaster Recovery. - We develop, maintain, and continuously refine disaster recovery and cutover runbooks with recovery steps, dependencies, communication plans, validation points, escalation paths, and rollback procedures. - We coordinate and lead disaster recovery exercises, failover tests, and restoration events while documenting outcomes and driving corrective actions. - We build reusable infrastructure-as-code components and operational standards using Terraform, CloudFormation, and related automation tooling. - We create automated deployment, provisioning, and support workflows through scripting and orchestration. - We improve operational visibility by implementing monitoring, alerting, and reporting for backup integrity, replication health, and recovery readiness. - We partner with governance, security, and risk stakeholders to ensure our resiliency solutions meet internal controls and compliance expectations. - We support cloud governance, utilization analysis, tagging strategy, reporting, and cost-optimization initiatives that improve operational efficiency.

We are seeking an AWS Disaster Recovery / Cloud Reliability Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity in Memphis / Germantown, TN, supporting a nationally respected, technically driven, and growing organization. This is an onsite role focused on strengthening enterprise recovery capabilities within a large AWS environment. The position offers a target total compensation of $120,000 to $140,000, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as our 401(k) retirement plan.
