### Must have:
### - We require an active Secret security clearance. - We require current DoD 8750 certification at IAT Level II, such as Security+ CE or an equivalent credential. - We need experience with one or more voice platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Unified Border Element, Oracle Session Border Controller, or Avaya Aura Application Server. - We require strong expertise in SIP signaling and call-flow analysis. - We need proven advanced troubleshooting ability to diagnose routing, switching, security, and large-scale voice network issues. - We require a bachelors degree with 4--8 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree with 2--6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. - We prefer working knowledge of SRTP, including G.711 and G.729 codecs and DTMF. - We prefer experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager or Avaya Aura soft switches. - We prefer experience with Oracle SBCs and other voice media gateway appliances. - We prefer experience supporting distributed firewall infrastructure. - We prefer experience building and supporting IPSec MPLS VPN environments. - We prefer experience implementing and supporting BGP routing protocols. - We prefer experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting QoS for voice and other critical traffic. - We prefer familiarity with IPSec implementation and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:

- We perform engineering work to sustain a large, highly resilient IP voice and video communications environment. - We manage, configure, and troubleshoot voice, video, and data network services, with strong attention to documentation and diagramming. - We carry out system maintenance, capacity planning support, and configuration change execution and documentation. - We configure calling search spaces, route plans, route partitions, route lists, and device profiles. - We configure Cisco or Juniper routing and switching equipment. - We support distributed firewall infrastructure. - We develop technical policies, work instructions, and reporting for an enterprise IP telephony network. - We analyze and resolve complex technical issues involving SIP signaling and call flows. - We troubleshoot remote site registration, signaling, and media problems. - We validate change requests and confirm accuracy. - We perform fault analysis and configuration of voice subscribers, call handlers, and call routing rules. - We perform fault analysis and configuration of Cisco and/or Juniper routing and switching rules. - We train the team on these duties and support second-shift operations, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
