### Must have:

### - We require U.S. citizenship, and we must be able to process a government security clearance; current Secret or TS-level clearance is also considered. - We are seeking 5+ years of experience in platform engineering or software development with Python or Go, paired with a bachelors degree in a related field; alternatively, 3 years of relevant experience with a masters degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience. - We need hands-on experience with operating system deployment and orchestration tools such as Kickstart, Ansible, or Puppet. - We require experience deploying and administering Kubernetes or a vendor-specific Kubernetes platform. - We expect familiarity with container build tooling and Kubernetes automation utilities such as Docker, Podman, Helm, Kustomize, and Flux CD. - We are looking for strong programming ability in Python or Go. - We need a solid grasp of Linux systems, hosts, networking, security, applications, and shell scripting in Bash or similar shells. - We value excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. - We require strong verbal and written communication skills. - We need the ability to work in a hybrid model and spend an average of 2 days per week at our San Antonio office, with flexibility for schedule adjustments. - Preferred experience includes securing operating systems and containers using standards such as STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and PCI compliance. - Preferred experience includes building and deploying infrastructure in AWS. - Preferred experience includes creating automation for CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Travis CI, or Jenkins. - Preferred knowledge of agile development practices and common collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and GitLab. - Familiarity with DISAs Big Data Platform or other big data ecosystems such as Cloudera CDH Hadoop, MapR Hadoop, Databricks, or Apache Spark is a plus. - DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification may be required as directed by the customer.

- We design and develop custom software components that help solve complex technical challenges using advanced big data and cloud technologies. - We integrate open-source code into our solutions to support mission needs. - We work independently to identify issues quickly and implement effective fixes while aligning with broader architectural objectives. - We strengthen, optimize, and improve the robustness of existing codebases and system integrations. - We use infrastructure-as-code practices to define, build, and manage virtual cloud infrastructure. - We design and implement core software architecture and capabilities from prototype through operational deployment. - We collaborate within a hybrid team environment and contribute to in-person teamwork as well as remote focused work. - We perform other related duties as assigned.
