### Must have:

### - We require 7+ years of experience in OSP fiber engineering, telecom construction, or network design. - We need a strong grasp of fiber construction techniques and industry best practices for outside plant environments. - We expect experience reviewing engineering and construction drawings for municipal or jurisdictional submissions. - We require proficiency with GIS platforms, spatial mapping applications, and KMZ/Google Earth workflows. - We value experience with process optimization, workflow refinement, or engineering automation efforts. - We need strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. - We require the ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams. - We prefer experience with AutoCAD, Salesforce, Visio, and advanced Microsoft Office tools. - We prefer prior experience mentoring junior engineering team members. - A bachelors degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities:

- We design fiber and conduit routes for Dark Fiber, Ethernet, DIA, WDM, SD-WAN, and FTTx services. - We develop diverse, resilient routing strategies that use existing network assets efficiently. - We interpret municipal and local jurisdiction requirements related to rights-of-way and easements. - We perform route studies, fiber optimization work, and risk reviews using GIS and field verification. - We prepare engineering deliverables such as splice plans, fiber pathways, bills of materials, and construction packages. - We review and approve construction drawings and specialized crossing designs. - We support field investigations and resolve routing or design issues as they arise. - We standardize engineering workflows to improve consistency, speed, and quality. - We identify opportunities to automate documentation and reporting processes. - We strengthen data accuracy across GIS, inventory, and project tracking systems. - We contribute to continuous improvement efforts tied to schedules, resource planning, and delivery quality. - We maintain accurate engineering records and project documentation. - We monitor key performance indicators related to engineering output and operational effectiveness. - We collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders across multiple projects. - We provide customer-facing project updates and engineering support. - We mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
