### Must have:
### - We require U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; current Secret or TS clearance is also acceptable. - We are seeking someone with 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, or 3 years with a masters degree, or 9 years with a high school diploma or equivalent. - We need hands-on experience building and deploying infrastructure in AWS. - We require experience with Kubernetes or a vendor-specific Kubernetes distribution, Ansible, and storage technologies such as Ceph, Rook, or Longhorn. - We are looking for strong programming skills in Python or Go. - We need a solid working knowledge of Linux systems, hosts, networking, security, applications, and shell scripting with Bash or similar shells. - We require excellent analytical ability with a proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues. - We need strong verbal and written communication skills. - We require the ability to work in a hybrid arrangement, with an average of 1--2 days per week onsite in Columbia, MD, and flexibility to adjust as needed. - Prior exposure to DISAs Big Data Platform or other big data environments is a strong plus. - Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI, Travis CI, or Jenkins is preferred. - Familiarity with agile development practices and common delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, or GitLab is desirable. - Experience with Puppet, Maven, and virtualization platforms such as oVirt, Proxmox, or VMware is a plus. - DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications may be required as directed by the customer.
Responsibilities:

- We will have you develop and deploy cloud-based solutions using AWS, Python or Go, Linux, and modern infrastructure tooling. - You will contribute to custom software components and integrate open-source code to solve complex big data and cloud engineering challenges. - You will work independently to identify issues, resolve problems quickly, and support broader technical objectives defined by our architects. - You will strengthen, optimize, and improve the resilience of an existing codebase and infrastructure stack. - You will use infrastructure-as-code practices to define, build, and manage virtual cloud environments. - You will design and implement core architecture and platform capabilities, moving solutions from prototype into production-ready applications. - You will collaborate in a hybrid environment and maintain effective coordination with the team both onsite and remotely. - You will perform additional duties as assigned.
