### Must have:
### - We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to undergo processing for a Secret-level security clearance; candidates with an active Secret or TS clearance may also be considered. - We are seeking someone with 9+ years of experience in platform engineering or software development using Python or Go with a bachelors degree in a related field, or 7 years of relevant experience with a masters degree, or a high school diploma/equivalent plus 13 years of related experience. - We need hands-on experience designing and deploying infrastructure in AWS. - We require experience with Kubernetes or a Kubernetes distribution, Ansible, and storage technologies such as Ceph, Rook, or Longhorn. - We are looking for programming proficiency in Python or Go. - We need a strong foundation in Linux systems, including hosts, networking, security, and applications, along with shell scripting skills in Bash or Shell. - We value excellent troubleshooting ability and a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues. - We require strong verbal and written communication skills. - We need someone who can work in a hybrid schedule and spend an average of 2 days per week in our San Antonio office. - We need flexibility to adjust to changing scheduling needs. - Preferred: familiarity with DISAs Big Data Platform or similar big data ecosystems such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR. - Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI, Travis CI, or Jenkins. - Preferred: understanding of agile development practices and commonly used collaboration/development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, and GitLab. - Preferred: experience with Puppet, Ansible, Maven, and virtualization platforms such as oVirt, Proxmox, or VMware. - Preferred: DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II compliance certifications may be required based on customer direction.
Responsibilities:

- We develop and deploy custom software components and integrate open-source code to solve complex big data and cloud challenges. - We contribute to the design and implementation of core architecture and platform capabilities, taking solutions from prototype to production-ready applications. - We build, manage, and optimize cloud-based virtual infrastructure using modern infrastructure-as-code practices. - We strengthen and improve existing codebases by identifying opportunities to enhance performance, robustness, and maintainability. - We work independently to identify issues, solve problems quickly, and support broader technical objectives established by our architects. - We collaborate with our team in a hybrid environment to deliver solutions effectively. - We perform additional duties as needed to support the team and the mission.
