### - We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. - We require 8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or similar technical functions. - We require 3+ years of experience leading technical teams or engineering efforts. - We require experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery workflows. - We require hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or comparable container orchestration tools. - We require experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - We require experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. - We require familiarity with DevSecOps principles, automation, and software delivery best practices. - We require experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions. - We require strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities. - Preferred qualifications include experience leading enterprise platform engineering or developer platform initiatives. - Preferred qualifications include experience with GitOps solutions such as ArgoCD or Flux. - Preferred qualifications include experience in federal, defense, or other highly regulated environments. - Preferred qualifications include knowledge of RMF, NIST, Zero Trust, or compliance-focused software delivery practices. - Preferred qualifications include experience with platform governance, policy-as-code, and automated compliance validation. - Preferred qualifications include experience building Kubernetes-based developer platforms or Internal Developer Platforms. - Preferred qualifications include experience with Site Reliability Engineering practices and operational excellence programs. - Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, Terraform Associate, or Security+. - Preferred qualifications include experience mentoring engineers and developing high-performing technical teams. - Preferred qualifications include experience driving cloud modernization and enterprise DevSecOps transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- We lead, coach, and develop a team of platform engineers supporting enterprise software delivery platforms. - We define platform engineering roadmaps, standards, and best practices. - We coordinate platform initiatives across development, operations, security, and architecture groups. - We drive continuous improvement focused on automation, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity. - We design, build, and maintain cloud-native platforms using AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and container technologies. - We develop reusable platform services and self-service capabilities for application teams. - We manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. - We ensure platform scalability, resiliency, and operational efficiency. - We lead the implementation and governance of enterprise CI/CD pipelines. - We establish automated build, test, security scanning, compliance validation, and deployment workflows. - We implement GitOps practices and deployment automation strategies. - We integrate security controls and policy enforcement into delivery pipelines. - We implement and sustain observability capabilities, including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting. - We establish automated recovery, rollback, and incident response capabilities. - We monitor platform health, availability, and performance metrics. - We support production operations and reliability engineering initiatives. - We ensure platform solutions meet organizational security and regulatory requirements. - We support RMF, audit, and compliance activities through automated evidence collection and reporting. - We enforce platform governance, access controls, and operational guardrails. - We maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures. - We work on-site at Joint Base San Antonio.
