### Must have:

### - Were looking for 2+ years of experience in an operational or support-focused role. - We require at least 1 year of hands-on Splunk experience. - You should have practical experience with data ingestion, onboarding, and pipeline support. - You need hands-on capability with SPL, including searches, alerts, and dashboards. - You should understand Splunk configurations such as indexes, inputs, and props/transforms. - You should have Python scripting skills and basic API development experience. - You should be familiar with Splunk clusters and automation. - You should know your way around Linux systems and Git workflows. - Experience with AWS and Terraform is expected. - Familiarity with Salt or Ansible is required. - You should understand observability fundamentals, including logging, metrics, sampling, and retention. - Exposure to ingest tools such as Cribl or Logstash is a plus. - Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jules or GitHub Actions is a plus. - Exposure to chaos engineering tools such as Gremlin is a plus. - Exposure to AI concepts, skill creation, and MCP is a plus. - Splunk Power User and/or Admin certifications are a bonus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

- We support data ingestion and onboarding, including Edge Processors and Ingest Actions. - We maintain and optimise ingestion pipelines across logs, metrics, and events. - We configure and tune Splunk for different operating conditions and performance needs. - We use Splunk to build actionable alerts and leverage observability tooling for operational visibility. - We implement parsing, enrichment, filtering, redaction, and data quality controls. - We monitor platform health and troubleshoot ingestion, indexing, and search issues. - We contribute to observability enhancements, including logging, metrics, and alerting. - We use coding languages to build custom automations, actions, and healing routines that help maintain platform uptime. - We support cluster automation, API integrations, and platform tooling. - We work with AWS, Terraform, Salt/Ansible, and CI/CD practices. - We take part in production support, incident response, and an on-call rotation.

We are a security transformation consultancy with onshore, offshore, and onsite capabilities. This is a hands-on Splunk Platform Engineer position within our Enterprise Platforms team, supporting the monitoring and telemetry foundation that improves incident response, operational insight, and system reliability. The role is based in person and includes a salary range of $80,000 to $130,000 per year, plus health insurance and paid time off.
